Geoff Case's artwork joins the Amarillo Art Institute "All Things Artful" Festival

The Amarillo Art Institute and The Crouch Foundation revealed plans in December 2019 to renovate and redesign Arts in the Sunset. We are looking forward to this opportunity to create a functional and sustainable facility that will not only include AAI but also working studios for artists, event venues, and exhibition space. Construction is underway and will continue throughout 2022!!

Tickets: Adults – $20 online, $25 at the gate, Children – $10 (under 12)

Music, local artist vendors, food, silent auction, handmade tumblers, interactive art activities, demonstrations, a night full of art and fun. At 7 p.m. the winners of the Best of the Southwest Summer Show will be announced. This event benefits the Amarillo Art Institute and helps us enrich more lives through art!

Digital artists Geoff Case and Eric Trich also worked with Dan Lam on creating project imagery that’s mapped out onto the massive, three-dimensional form, giving the impression that it’s moving. This enhances the “senses of the piece transforming before your eyes, from solid to liquid,” Lam explains in a release.

The Dallas Mavericks will launch the 2019-2020 Season City Edition Jersey and Court with Art + Basketball, a unique, one-night event that will intertwine Dallas Mavericks basketball and the Dallas arts community, showcasing and celebrating DFW’s most innovative and contemporary artists in a colorful exhibition.

Art + Basketball, presented by Dr. Pepper and Budweiser, will be a Dallas Mavericks event unlike any other. Artists from all across the metroplex will come together to showcase unique pieces of art inspired by the 2019 City Edition jersey, the City of Dallas and Mavs basketball. The gallery will feature all forms of art including 2D images, 3D sculptures, installations, digital and interactive/immersive works and more.

Live music and entertainment will feature the Emerald City Band and DJ Joe Ramirez.

New York Knicks “EMPIRE STATE” Jersey Concept

The Empire City concept jersey makes use of the “Subway Token Logo” secondary which debuted in 1996 and was designed by one of my favorite designers, Michael Doret.

The letters “NYK” represent the city and the team’s nickname New York Knicks. Michael's design drew its inspiration from the old MTA subway tokens and elements of it crept into early concepts of the Knicks’ primary logo. The Knicks have been using as a secondary logo since 1995. It's graced equipment and merchandise since then, and was featured on the back of the uniform until recently.
